Just what's happening to beautiful Bangkok?

It's hard to believe that just over a year ago I was melting in the extreme humidity of Bangkok coming out of its wet season.

Marvelling at the wonderfully friendly locals, their amazing support to tourists and just too happy to help and encourage  first time visitors to come to love their city.

And now the scenes in the media are pain violence and confusion.  It really is hard to believe that this side of Thailand can not only exist. but take root and grow.

I missed the sit in at Suvarnabhumi airport by a few days, and it made me smile  But to see the red shirts and the Government in such heated exchanges.

I just hope the beautiful Bangkok shines through.
